This steering idler is from a Leyland /AEC 1967 Route Master double decker bus.
It is one of several working in Christchurch on charter excursions. The steering idlers from both sides of the vehicle were stripped, cleaned and inspected. The old bushes removed and new bronze bushes machined and fitted. New pins machined and the bushes honed to suit.. the units were then reassembled and ready for the customer to refit to the bus.
